Quality Assurance is at the heart of all operations at Landons.

We have held BS EN ISO 9000 approval for several years. All our workforce are aware of the importance of producing quality, from the receipt of the customer’s order through to project completion.

We employ a full-time Quality Manager who handles all aspects of quality. Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of weld procedures and welder qualifications to BS EN 287, 288
• Preparation of data books
• Verification of material test certification
• Internal audits

Working within the steel fabrication industry, traceability is of vital importance. One piece of steel can look much the same as another, but through our strict procedures, we have total traceability of all components, right down to the smallest boss.

Our system allows us to obtain to material certification for every component on a fabrication for 5 years after manufacture.

Our shop floor inspectors all hold PCN certification in MPI and DPI as well as CSWIP welding inspection. Our welders are coded to ASME IX, BS EN287 and offshore welding standards. Fabrications are frequently produced to AWS D1.1.
